FlyDirect to continue flights from Isle of Man to Majorca in Summer 2023 (1)
22nd September 2022
As a result of overwhelming demand from people in the Isle of Man, they will again be able to travel on direct flights to the Mediterranean next summer, thanks to Channel Islands travel company, FlyDirect. The established operator will provide flights every Saturday between 20 May and 23 September from Ronaldsway direct to Palma Airport in Majorca.
Islanders will be able to enjoy a summer holiday without the inconvenience of travelling via a UK airport. Customers can book flights or inclusive holiday packages at a range of hotels and apartments in Majorca, providing a compelling level of choice.
C. I. Travel Group Managing Director Robert Mackenzie said, “We are delighted that so many people in the Isle of Man took the decision to choose to travel on our direct flight programme this summer. The challenges of travelling through the UK have been well publicised and the convenience and speed of flying direct has attracted many to try FlyDirect this year.”
“This will be our second summer of operating from the Isle of Man and we will look to build on the exceptional demand we have encountered. We also hope that this will lead to other destinations in the future”
Isle of Man Airport’s Director, Gary Cobb, said: “It’s great to have this direct route back again for summer 2023. Majorca flights for this year have provided great performance, speed and convenience and we wish FlyDirect Holidays a successful 2023 season.”
FlyDirect is again partnering with BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways who will operate the flights using the comfortable Embraer 190 jet aircraft. Flying time is around two hours.
Flights go on sale today and customers will be able to book online through www.flydirect.co.uk or over the phone.
