Extra direct flights to the Mediterranean

Overwhelming demand to fly direct to the Mediterranean this summer, has led FlyDirect to add additional flights from the Isle of Man to Malaga in May and June.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Robert Mackenzie, Managing Director of C. I. Travel Group said, ‘The response to our direct flight programme from the Isle of Man to Majorca and the Costa del Sol has been hugely encouraging. As a result, we are now adding a further 4 departures to Malaga in May and early-June, including during TT week.’
Gary Cobb, Airport Director, said: ‘We’re so pleased to see the demand for these direct flights, and that FlyDirect have been able to increase their programme. I’m sure the flights to Malaga in TT week will be particularly attractive to people thinking about renting out their home through the home stay initiative and jetting off to the Mediterranean.
We hope to see the demand continuing and in turn, further expansion with FlyDirect to and from the Island.’

There are options to book flight-only or an inclusive holiday at a wide choice of hotels in resorts including Marbella, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Estepona. 7, 14 or longer stays are available and child discounts are available for the majority of departures.

Flights depart every Saturday from 8th April to 3rd June, including half-term and TT weeks. As with the Majorca programme, the route will be operated by BA City Flyer, a subsidiary of British Airways using the comfortable Embraer 190 jet aircraft. Flying time is around three hours.

Flights go on sale today Tuesday 14th February and customers will be able to book online through www.flydirect.co.uk or over the phone.
