Isle of Man Airport, 12/05/2025

A new dedicated area for Athol customers will combine the company’s Car Hire and Car Valeting operations within the one car park, providing clarity for their customers either arriving at or departing from Isle of Man Airport.
A recently approved parking order will reallocate 45 standard parking spaces for private use. This change will come into effect on 16th May 2025, and is part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to improve service offerings and operational efficiency based on customer demand.

David Quayle, Owner of Athol Garage said "We’re excited to work with the Isle of Man Airport to support the improvement of valet and rental parking facilities. A combined dedicated parking area will enable us to deliver an even higher level of service and convenience to visitors. We are committed to working closely with the Airport to ensure the transition is seamless for customers."

Following this adjustment, the overall airport parking capacity will move from 590 spaces to 545 spaces, now categorised as:
• 162 Premium Spaces
• 383 Standard Spaces

The 45 spaces being reallocated were previously part of the Long Stay Standard category. They will now be clearly branded with Athol Garage Car Hire & Car Valeting signage to identify the area as reserved for private use, ensuring that customers and visitors are aware these spaces are no longer available for general, ad hoc parking.
We understand that during the transition, some vehicles may still be parked in this area. To support a smooth changeover, we will allow a period of discretion.

Geoff Pugh, Interim Airport Director said "Supporting demand for car rental and valet services is important to us, and we are adapting to better serve both our commercial partners and our passengers. This reallocation is part of a broader strategy to continually improve the facilities and services we offer, ensuring the airport remains responsive to evolving customer expectations."
